I am continuing to work on a series honoring my father. These images were taken as I walked around the farmyard the morning of his funeral. It was my way of saying goodbye while capturing his spirit in the places he inhabited.

Joy, Thrill, Elation!
"Chroma Explosion" was juried into the Juried National Exhibition at the Delaplaine Arts Center in Frederick, Maryland. The exhibition runs from May 3, to July 13, 2025.

Tuesday: Someone dropped a dumpster around the corner. It is at a house that will be coming down. Our neighborhood was a wooded enclave in the heart of a Maryland suburb. The temperature in the neighborhood reflects a drop in the number of trees as developers over-build the land.

Monday seems to be a good day to start something new!
I am in the middle of a large series of art quilts honoring my father and in each piece there has been a point where I have to stop and re-evaluate the direction my threads are taking.
