I think that if I were to do art as a profession and invested in the tools to make my home workspace comfortable and workable, then I’d try phasing back to Clip. I just spend so little time at home that investing monetarily and in exploring the features of the app itself doesn’t feel worth it rn!

PLUS I do most of my art on break in my office/at coffee shops/at my parents’ house/at friends’ houses/etc etc so portability is important to me and while I’ve used the Clip app, it’s a SUBSCRIPTION. And Procreate was a one time fee.

I port my stuff into clip for very specific things that procreate doesn’t do, like type and outlining and stuff, but one of the reasons I’m drawn to procreate is that I feel like i know every inch of the program so it feels like im using it as well as i possibly can, bar my own skill level.

too much happening. Like even after using it for a few years I felt like I’d barely scratched the surface and so every time I made anything, I felt like I wasn’t using Clip in The Right Way because I was definitely missing out on things that would’ve made my art easier/better.

I do think that if you’re used to Photoshop, then clip studio paint is a GREAT thing to jump to because it’s like if photoshop was geared toward artists instead of photo manipulation.
