She knows he is going to ignore the question anyway. At least a few headlines grabbed her words this way

Because they are run by people who would not benefit from a wealth tax ✨

A thrilling little rant about the brexiteers from Nish. Good to hear some proper anger.

Ironically our treatment of men's rights often mimics gender roles that feminism attempts to dismantle

For women we take action, because we see them as unable to create change on their own.

But for men we give them no support, and claim they can sort it out themselves.

A Minister for men could tackle the issue of radical young men. But also the other systemic issues men face.

No representation in schools, poor educational outcomes, shorter life expectancy, Homelessness, Workplace deaths, etc
April 3, 2025 at 12:35 PM
Honestly I was disappointed to hear you dismiss the idea of a minister for men. The left loves to demonize men and say they need to act better but what are we actually doing to help that happen.

This cant be solved under capitalism. Just in time will always be more profitable. Supermarkets have a monopoly that needs to be broken. I would love to see some legislation forcing them to act better!

Beautiful!

This is amazing! How can I get involved?

Loved hearing from @reproutopia.bsky.social a really compelling take on feminism. A good amount of empathy for men, and a strong passion. Was great hearing you speak!

So the left wants to appeal to young men. But we are still body shaming men??

It's just blatant hypocrisy

Love bringing redistribution of wealth Into the gender discussion. Households are getting poorer, and as you pointed out people like Jordan are painting women as scapegoats!

In terms of the courts being backed up. Why don't we stop prosecuting non violent protesters, and go for sexual violence.

Hyped.

Hey you seem well intentioned. I like chatting to people I disagree with. But I'm finding the post message thing confusing. Could we switch to DM's?

I feel like we could chat better. And no one else is reading these at this point anyway. I tried to DM u but it says I couldn't for some reason.

But honestly I'm more interested in focusing on why you think landlords with huge portfolios selling their property would be a bad thing. I would propose legislation to encourage these people to sell.

Along with other legislation to stop empty homes, and building more affordable homes near jobs.

I disagree that England has an overpopulation problem. Maybe some more info about that would be good. People are having less children these days anyway so won't that problem go away in a few generations?
February 21, 2025 at 3:27 PM
In terms of over regulation things like stamp duty don't apply to first time buyers which is where Ur focus should be. We want as many people on the property ladder as possible.
February 21, 2025 at 3:24 PM
Well let's try deal with these one at a time.

People with lots of houses selling their houses is a good thing. So Im glad we agree they would sell. More supply = decreases in costs for housing which drives down rent as well.
February 21, 2025 at 3:23 PM
Fair. Done a bit of digging and can't find a source for the 6-12 average. But I think it is the mean number contributed to by a few incredibly wealthy landlords with thousands of properties.

Do you agree that these people should be the focus of policy?
February 21, 2025 at 1:43 PM
Can you link your source? Instead of just posting pictures please 0:)
February 21, 2025 at 1:20 PM
Yeah a lot are. But most houses are owned by very wealthy individuals.

The average landlord in the UK owns between 6 to 12 properties. These people are rich. On the low end six properties (if sold) would be enough equity to set people up for life. Landlords are not ordinary people.

Loved the speaker @paticlarke.bsky.social mentioning some men's rights stuff, and anti-capitalists stuff. Loved the vibe of this one :)
