Tell me you worked in retail without telling me you worked in retail. This is my cabochon cut garnet and marquisite sterling silver ring from my college days at The Museum Company- excavated from my jewelry box. Holy 90s, Batman.

Once my teaching career gained traction I stopped taking work home. How can we encourage teachers to leave the planning at school and set the expectation that their time is their own?

Prioritized goal setting with my students today. I realized that I have used vision boards for the last 12 years. They have been a recursive process. I'm still learning about patience, baby steps, and side quests, always moving forward.

I always forget to shout-out our favorite Christmas tradition. We go multiple times a year but Christmas Day at Beyond Sushi NYC never disappoints.

After 15 years of weaving the joy of the Muppets into her childhood, I finally took my daughter to the Museum of Moving Images. Specifically, the Jim Henson Exhibit. Statler and Waldorf are the voices in my head.
Thank you Jim Henson.

ICYMI Today was not the day to email teachers because they were late arriving at work. Today WAS the day to be grateful your staff made it to work safely.
When I become an administrator I'll choose gratitude.

A snowy morning commute during the 3 weeks leading up to winter break. Sigh.

I feel like this needs to be my family's holiday card this year.

I took no pictures on Thanksgiving except for this Vegan Banana Pudding from Willow NYC. Shout-out to my daughter for picking a dessert we are still raving about.

A mouse walks into a class discussion on Dracula. We named him Renfield and put him in an old fishtank/Dracula project. After rest and food every kind student found a safe place to set him free. The lessons here? Kids need a chance to be kids. And there is always an opportunity to choose kindness.
