As I get older I want to just indulge in being furry but like, as a TTRPG person, I love being able to be a Tabaxi/Dragonborn and my friend be an elf or dwarf (or even human) and everyone gets to be happy and have fun. Plenty of high fantasy is this kind of setting and it works great.

With all the people willing to bash us, it's super exciting to hear anyone just be loud and proud about enjoying furry/anthro aesthetics. We've had good last few years for games too. But it goes beyond furry, you can feel when somebody has real passion and love for what they make, and it's better.

Remote work does solve a lot of problems. It's hard to tell exactly why companies went back on it after covid, the most plausible one I know is real estate pressure (empty buildings / crashing prices / difficulty for local retail). Managers not knowing how to manage without seeing people works too

I always thought the 'suspiciously wealthy' came from a high concentration of IT/tech workers visible in the fandom, so they overall had a higher amount of disposable income than people in other fandoms. That likely isn't as relevant now, and your point about how the fandom supports art is spot on.

Yeah, and before that they used other people's actual art to trace over and steal. People who are bad are gonna be bad, but they're the minority of artists and spending a ton of time and effort 'vetting' is mentally damaging to everyone (artists and viewers). 99%+ of furry artists will be valid.

I've watched you and another LPer on SH-f and your struggles were wildly different. And both of you still ended up not wanting to deal with the combat at the end. (Which, also same here when I played on Hard) Sadly the fun boss fights really just don't make up for the slog the rest of the time.

It's just not worth witch-hunting. People who use AI will probably make it clear on their own, and if they don't.. why destroy your own love of art worrying about it? The tech is going to get harder to spot but if you fail to spot one yourself it doesn't make you a bad person, don't overanalyze it
