A friend of mine came by with a stylophone 350s, it didn't work, he said.. well, this might be one reason!

That answer hit the fan..

I'm so happy this isn't on X. The right wing troll/bot army would tear me apart already

Here is a picture of a german lake I'm the evening, for good karma!

People, This was magic! Once again we have to thank everyone involved in #superbooth. I can't really think of a better ending than with @tunegirl

Finally fixed this baby today, the LED had me scratching my head before I realised that without external power being plugged in, the LED will fade out after 5s after the pedal is activated. That cost me hours though 😪

I couldn't help myself, so I almost finished the repair of the MicroMoog but decided to do a small modification to the LFO, making it possible to switch it to audio range That's what you see me do with the switch under the Modwheel. And yeah... this thing GRAWLS and has A LOT of low end. #synthsky

Grrrrr... This is NOT my favourite thing to do. Cleaning Keyboard contacts and replacing dried Bushings. But the difference after is huge

This is my first time working on a Moog. It was packed with sketchy looking foil caps. I removed them all, and none of them were even remotely within specs. I guess moog used them all over the production line, and maybe this is one of the reasons old minis are hard to get tuned?

Contact spray... NEVER a good idea. Just don't use that shit. That green gunk is the residue reacting with the copper.

In my fantasy the Assembly was done by a R(obert)A(rthur)M(oog)! I know, i know the middle letter is more of a D and Bob probably wasn't involved in any assembly in 1975. But just let me dream will ya! #synthsky

Just got this guy at the bench, a recap didn't do the trick so i had to dive deeper. Found 2 broken OPamps. But those original RC4149s are impossible to find. I stuck 2 LM324s in there for test and they play, but ordered a couple of LM246s wich should be more simmilar to the originals. #synthsky

If someone ever wondered how different the Yamaha CS01 mkI and the CS01 mkII are, here's the PCBs. Yamaha really did a complete redesign if the PCB for the mkII.

This is the reson it's NOT a good idea to use woodscrews in synth cases... PCBs are NOT soft as wood.

Done! After way to much work, I'm now finally finished with this thing. I have done some super cool modifications to it that I will explain down below.
It was thought that the Korg35 ICs were blown, but that wasn't true! Now, this baby sings better than from the factory #synthsky

I had a low profile on this, but now I have to chip in:

Here is one of my absolute favourite synths

When I'm finished with this one, I have to tell you more about what I have done here..

Don't worry, it was not original to begin with, so no blasphemy!

By the way, This is one of my favorite tools. The good old Miller Tools model 101. I have 3 of them and they ROKK. If you find one pick it up for God sakes!

By Popular demand: here is a picture of a well usedYamaha SY-1, the fist synth Yamaha ever made. Later I'm going to tell you something interesting about it...

You are all lucky, tonight is Synthesizer Nerd information night:
In the early MS20 the filter was done with Korgs own 35 IC, This is a small PCB with some SMD transistors and resistors forming a kind of rudimentary discreet state variable filter. In later versions this was done with OTAs. #synthsky

Yeah, it's such a fantastic synth, much more versatile than you think. I did a lot of work on this one, when I got it it looked like this:

And something we have even less of here is, the inside of synthesizers...

So here we go
