People with the Mark of Rhythm are usually
uninterested in attention, opting
instead for the peace and strength of
community. Despite this, or because of
it, they often quietly and unintentionally
set the pace, norms, and unwritten
rules of the society they inhabit.

There is a deliberateness with which
the Mark of Immersion lives. Every
choice is made thoughtfully, every moment
is savored. This shows itself
as indecision. It can take patience
and guidance to understand Creatures
with Immersion, but those who do
find they have a genius completely unique to them.

The Mark of Emergence, through its
namesake, reflects an ancient and
foundational power. It is not defined so
much by any particular drive, beyond
perhaps curiosity, but instead by the
natural weaving of simple systems
into complex ones. It revolves around
complexity for its own sake.

It may appear that the Mark of Fate
reflects a void or a deep
sadness within the user, but in fact
the opposite is true. The Mark of Fate
provides, beyond all else, a resiliency
toward pain. This resiliency is sourced
from the Soul’s oneness with the
universe.

When someone finds themselves between
pages in the narrative of their life, when
a day inevitably comes that defies
purpose or meaning or much sense
at all, if the response is to embrace
life in those moments, that is the
Mark of Hope revealing itself.

Few deny the danger inherent to the Mark of Valor, but the perils of the world, both manufactured by malice and inherent to living in an ambivalent universe, are most effectively beaten back by the patient work and steadfast vision that can only come of having a stubborn chip on your shoulder.

The Mark of Empathy is not defined by
ego death, but it does often precede it. This Mark imbues a particular type of understanding, one that makes both the joy and the suffering of all life much more difficult to ignore. Creatures with this Mark tend to be kind, but frustratingly fence-sitting.

The Mark of Tranquility favors
knowledge, creativity, and patience.
But more than anything it favors
curiosity. The world is filled with
absurdity, misery, and luck, and all of it
is ~fascinating~.
