I wouldn't describe this as oversaturated (very strong colors). Maybe overexposed (strong lighting causes some detail to be lost on her sleeve), but it's artistic and adds meaning.
I think it conveys the intended feelings very well.

I released the update on XMA, so it should look a little better at least.

That sounds like the correct offset. I'm not seeing the issue on my end though. Make sure "Use model assigned offsets" is enabled in SimpleHeels settings.
I do see some other issues with the mod, so I'll push an update, but I'm not sure if it'll fix things for you.

Make sure your plugins (mainly SimpleHeels) are up-to-date, just in case.
