Having said that, I don't even know how to send a message to the people I have managed to talk to in general so this whole thing is really just a me issue

I don't know how long it's okay to message someone after not talking for months out of anxiety

Even if it's not recognising her wrongdoings (Too much self reflection) the best I can hope is she gets bored and then directs that energy towards something genuinely productive

I really don't get how anyone has the energy to keep this up for as long as she has

It would be impressive if it weren't also really sad

I see people argue about ships all the time specifically
Straight, yaoi, yuri and having discussion is one thing even if you don't get it but like, getting into full blown arguments, insulting, name calling, slurs over things/personal heacanons like that is baffling

Like what are you achieving getting upset about how other people enjoy the same media?
It literally doesn't affect your ability or thoughts on it at all, just enjoy the people who think the same as you or be respectful

Obviously though, there's a reason I'm posting this here and not there

Regardless of platform, it's important to curate your experience and try not to get bogged down by it and recognise things outside aren't as extreme as these spaces would have us believe and the data backs it up.
I think it helps to be reminded of this occasionally with the proof shown to ease minds

Again, this shows that everything is a bubble, usually with more extreme voices being amplified in each space

Experiences vary, the majority is there for entertainment and if you block out the noise either way then most people report a positive experience following their favourite creators.

Having noted that, this is also important that while left leaning people tend to report more negative experiences than the right on Twitter, around 45-50% of both left and right users note that they have a neutral experience.
(Via the Pew Research Centre which most places I could find cite back to)

Every source I can find just leads back to Statista in some way but once it's broken down like this and especially when you realise that Twitter really is a mixed bag where around 35-50% of users are there for news/politics and that's a mix of left and right. It really amplifies the worst of things
