I listened to a Yusuf Cat Stevens tune and my mind drifted back to driving from Halifax to Québec for xmass holidays listening to his greatest hits on a cassette tape. I remember so vividly the cold blue sky in the Hartland area on the old highway, driving past the covered bridge.

It is amazing to watch this US gov. shutdown happen, again. Laying off thousands of gov workers allows cheeto to consolidate his power and influence. Ruling by decree seems to work well for him and winning the media war by promoting the blame on dems is another classic move.

When tariffs appeared we were told that they were basically taxes on the people of that country. PM Carney has taken off tariffs on incoming US stuff and some of us complain? WTF? We get to save money buying their crap and cry babies, (like pierre polievre) whine. Is it just me?

I just saw that ford, gm and stellantis executives visited Canada to get us to overturn our electric vehicle mandates and provisions. I do really f ing hope that our gov reps sent those bloated bailout taking, crap producing asshats packing. The unmitigated gall! Call in the Chinese!

Without congressional approval, cheeto just bombed 3 targets in Iran. People need to start blaming their elected reps for not doing their jobs. I used to walk with my mother on Sunday afternoons. We would follow the trails and always come home rested, mentally.
I find myself walking between shifts, to keep my mind occupied.
I walk about 2km per day with my dog, 3 times around the block.7 days a week 700+ km/year. Nearly 3000km or1800 miles

I have lived with depression for well over 40 years, before it was a thing. I can' t remember the last time I was happy for more then 10 minutes in a row, I never cried when my wife left with the kids, when my sister died or when my mother died. I process grief with apathy. I long to feel, anything.
