Good questions. I wondered how that played out with the captain, unless he was unaware (and crew didn't want to mention) and/or they weren't going to try dumping her if she wasn't dead. "Oh she's alive. Back to land then". Im skeptical of the story but sounds plausible compared to the known stories.

Keep going! It took me years to know as much as I do now b/c of getting sidetracked adulting and having to come back and review, but I passed N5, studying N4 now, & can watch anime and understand quite a bit. I only knew stuff from anime like "Daijoubu??" and I started by learning hiragana.

There's the time aspect, and if you've always been poor you may not have had the luxury of learning to cook, because in the process you will make mistakes and waste food you can't afford to waste. Even though ultimately it would sometimes be cheaper.

Just starting to make games myself and realizing through playtests of my projects that how to play games is self-explanatory to *me* because I've been playing since I was 4. Not necessarily to everyone else, even though I'm making my stuff with "standard" controls.

I actually talked about this in one of my game design classes. I loved this game, have 100% completion, but the bad attempts at representation made me cringe. There was so much opportunity there. Kanji & Naoto deserved better. Not to mention the fat shaming/caricature going on with Hanako.
