So I was watching the TNG episode “Deja Q” and the Calamarain scanned them with “Berthold Rays” which I’m pretty sure is a reference to the playwright Berthold Brecht, who often used bright stage lights to “alienate” a character.

Berthold Rays are literally bright lights.

My #adventofcode day 6 part 2 solution runs in 205ms on my Ryzen 9 7950X3D desktop machine. Not great, not terrible.

On my Lunar Lake 258V laptop, it runs in 158ms! It hits L3 cache but the Lion Cove P-cores manage nearly double the instructions per cycle. Even the E-cores do pretty well at 5.76.

I recently learned that there are new PLA plastics made specifically for #3dprinting. The older 4032D and 4043D were intended for plastic film and sheet applications.

This was my tenth(!) year building 25 days of puzzles for #AdventOfCode. You can solve them all for free! Most people write code to solve them, but you can solve them however you like. I hope they help people become better programmers. 🌟

The first puzzle comes out in two hours: adventofcode.com
