I loved The Acolyte, and I'm really interested in how directors depict introspection. Instead of handing the inner thoughts over to the viewer through a narrator, the easy route, how do they show internal wires being rearranged without explicitly saying it?

This might be my favorite genre.

Or it might be easier to just categorize by the sociotechnical system:
1. Citizen Surveillance (nearly every spy movie, Running Man, etc)
2. Postal Service (Klaus)
3. Arcades (Big Door Prize)
4. Subways (Pelham 123)

We just rewatched it a few nights ago, and I thought "How has no one depicted the mythology of Santa to be child-driven?" The moment the child saw him in the sky and told everyone the reindeer can fly was genius.

It's a great movie, I love that it uses postal services as the vehicle for storytelling.
