it's really not. i was given access to the hormones i needed as a minor, after a fight that took way longer than it should have, even with the full support of my parents. going through the wrong puberty first was traumatic, the fact that the state might mandate that for others like me is horrifying.

the chromium project is almost entirely maintained by google devs, no? i understand they're different, but they're inherently connected, and i don't see much incentive for google to continue maintaining chromium if they no longer own chrome.

what do you propose happens to chrome if google sells it? who buys it? the only organizations with the capacity and funds to maintain it seem like they would just be equivalent or worse than google.

This is unlikely to happen, and would be somewhere between not mattering whatsoever and a really bad thing if it did. No one else really has the resources to maintain the chromium project.
