Many struggle at GCSE English, let alone A level. Less than 60% achieve the “standard pass” (grade C/4) at GCSE English. Re-sitting later doesn’t always result in a higher grade either. Of the 300,000+ people aged 17+ who sat GCSE English last year, less than 20% achieved the standard pass.

He is seriously out of line, dictating death penalty to elected politicians here. He has such influence over so many people it is horribly irresponsible of him to spout off like this. He’s putting individuals in danger. If only we could rely on the president-elect to call him out.
