Pet peeve: when people say things like Tolkien's worldbuilding is uninformed because the place/time in rural England the Shire is based off didn't have potatoes but they have potatoes in the Shire (which I'm not sure is accurate).

Read that George R. R. Martin isn't finishing The Winds of Winter and lost all interest in writing ASOIAF after AGoT. While it's a bummer (though I'm not surprised), it's a reminder of why I never want to be known for 1 series. He laments his other books being overlooked by fans.
