Trident relies on the US for maintenance and parts, which is the dangerous aspect Polanski is talking about. Plus I'm for Europe (and Canada) from maintaining a defense pact amongst themselves. (This is all without even mentioning that NATO has historically been an imperialist bloc. We've only gotten freedom in name because we've blindly helped slaughter Serbs, Libyans, Afghans, Palestinians and so on).
