I have the freedom here to be able to get sick with the flu, like I currently am, and not worry about bills, losing my job, being unable to keep myself fed and housed etc, even if I'm sick for weeks. I have freedom from a lot of worries. So do the people of Greenland. That's worth a lot.

The whole USA thing about freedom is so ridiculous to me. Freedom to do what? Freedom to be what? Freedom from who? Currently I'm seeing the freedom to do and be disappear in the US, every day, and the only one you need freedom from is your own King.

We are thinking of it like that, here. We're more afraid of the US than Russia atm, and that's saying something.

As a Dane, the narrative here and in Greenland is a very clear "no, thank you" about all of this. And it honestly terrifies me. "We need it for security reasons" screw your security reasons. Greenland is a country, you can't just take it!

I chose to do French in school, over German, so I’m purely going off of what the words sound like in either Danish or English, and hoping I understood everything, which I usually do.

Me too. It’s just so damn dumb? I almost understand when they thought they’d have the guy who’s retiring, but he’s out tomorrow, and then there’s exactly no one left who knows this program. All knowledge is in documentation that’s lacking to say the least 😵

I was specifically hired to be a redundancy so not all knowledge about this program was in the heads of consultants. And now they’re getting rid of that redundancy. Seems really shortsighted to me.
