Actually scary is very subjective of course! Two I've enjoyed more recently have been Barbarian (2022) which I'd call one of the best horror movies of like, the last decade, and the Sadness (2021), BUT THE SADNESS COMES WITH BIG CONTENT WARNINGS, and it's on the very extreme end of gore
