One summer, I read all of Hemingway's books. Faulkner is worth reading, too -- and Steinbeck's GRAPES OF WRATH. Jane Austen's books are worth reading, and JANE EYRE. THE HOBBIT and LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy. And CHRONICLES OF NARNIA.

Love the Kushiel books so much! All 3 trilogies are stellar. Carey creates a mesmerizing alt world. Her use of mythologies from around the world is stunning. Huge fan.
