My second request is that programs consider only asking for letters when candidates have moved to the next stage. I know this is a difficult thing to implement logistically but there are so many people hours wasted writing letters for candidates that will never be considered.

Great list, Matt! I look forward to this every October. Thanks for posting. I’ve missed a few of these for whatever reason (including big ones like The Substance) but this is a good reminder to visit those films.

Just watched the other day. Made me feel sick, honestly. Haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Really powerful film and what an amazing follow-up to Talk to Me. Will watch every movie this duo creates.

Loved this movie. The scene that is only illuminated by a camera flash is probably one of my favorite shots in any movie I've scene recently.
