Looks like AG Bonta finally found his balls and got them reattached. Way too late but I'll take it. Colorado, Washington, Illinois, etc AGs what are you guys literally doing except sleeping at the job
January 31, 2026 at 4:09 AM
Dem AGs asleep at the wheel once again. No TRO request filed and no lawsuits or threats towards hospitals who violate state anti discrimination laws.
January 6, 2026 at 3:53 PM
Better than nothing but that still doesn't cut it unfortunately
December 18, 2025 at 7:47 PM
not at all. The only Dem AG who has a spine and did it was Letitia James of NY and the hospitals retreated. She didn't have to sue or anything, just remind them that hospitals must follow state anti discrimination laws.
December 18, 2025 at 5:32 PM
The kids are doing more than Dem AGs across the country. Sad but good for them for standing up to what's right even when their politicians fail them.
December 9, 2025 at 11:57 AM
It's beyond a failure that none of these orgs have sued under state anti discrimination laws. One successful injunction in a single state earlier this year could have at least gave hospital administrators cold feet and stop the bleed of care access...but that would require actually doing something

My FQHC dropped their HRT care back in January and I had to find a new clinic. Cowardly leadership is unfortunately common at FQHCs.
October 17, 2025 at 1:35 AM
Not really. University of Chicago and Rush University still hasn't reinstalled trans care under 19 and there has been no action from the governor or AG
September 30, 2025 at 1:26 PM
Even if they would have, this result would have been delayed and people would have been benefitted. Prior to today, Idaho (plaintiffs only) and Arkansas had injunctions in place. Now they don't.

This is what happens when nonprofit orgs care about press releases and getting headlines than the material reality of the groups they claim to represent. Anyone with half of a brain would have predicted today's outcome.
June 18, 2025 at 5:12 PM
Very likely unfortunately imo

CarelonRx hasn't been filling GAC HRT scripts for years now (seems like it started since the 2023 onslaught of youth bans). Plenty of people with similar experiences online.

The letter was sent out on Friday so we might see some more on Monday. I hope not of course.

In TN, they exclusively use Quest for labs for telehealth and refuse to give out orders for labs so you can't take yours anywhere. Quest is sparse here so if you're not in a major city you're driving an hour or more. "Care no matter what" is total nonsense. Telehealth is supposed to be accessible.

Most of Planned Parenthood is peak nonprofit grift with some well meaning people sprinkled in. Medical staff like medical assistants are underpaid and struggle to live while management and "advocacy" staff bring in big bucks. Not surprising to see them cave. Most nonprofits are rotten to the core.

Yep that's my clinic and they told me to find another clinic. They have hundreds of HRT patients in east TN.
March 25, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Pretty sure Planned Parenthood is the only irl option for 18 year olds here in East TN too. Plume, Folx, and Queermed seem to be options afaik.
March 25, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Vanderbilt is controlled by greedy assholes in the C-suite who dgaf about patients so not surprised unfortunately. From their website, it looks like their HRT program is only 19 and up too : (
March 25, 2025 at 3:44 PM
My assumption is that cutting of adult access is common and not being reported or given airtime
March 25, 2025 at 3:21 PM
My federally qualified health center here in Tennessee stopped all HRT for *adult* patients because of Trump's executive orders. Was given some refills and told to find a new clinic.

Comment on this rule with your dissatisfaction as all comments must be reviewed. It's a great delay tactic and errors by the administration in mishandling/procedural errors of comments can be used in litigation.

Here's the full official rule with lots of legal jargon. Try to submit a comment (can do so anonymously) as they are all reviewed and serves as a delay tactic due to bureaucracy.

Agreed. Blue states definitely need to prepare and get it into law that funds are to be allocated when this takes effect.

66% of health insurance plans are self funded which means state mandates do not apply according to ERISA. It's employer discretion what to cover in terms of GAC.
