Correct me if I'm wrong but the Senators vote for their leader once the new session starts. So unless I'm replying to a Senator's alt account or someone high up on their staff, this is nonsensical. The effort of midterms will be done by then.

All the calvinball could have been avoided by
- the administration releasing snap funds as required by law
- Republicans proposing a slightly less evil budget
- Voters turning out for the Black lady and/or the nice older man, plus a few more House Dems.
