Some authors are being manipulated into thinking they have no choice but to go with AI or never have an audiobook. I hope you share widely with your author friends that you've found a winning option!

Thank you for choosing a kickstarter to fund this. Readers deserve quality audiobooks and human narration!

Many quality human narrators will help authors produce audiobooks via royalty share or via Kickstarter. No need to bring emotionless robot voices into this. Sure, they can mimic human voice inflection, but never subtext or feeling. Why should listeners buy a book no one bothered to perform for them?

Beautiful, hopeful post-tech story, perfect for fans of #TheWildRobot and #Murderbot.

Thank you! Narrators are getting squeezed out of the work we love as AI is forced on listeners. Please keep praising human art, and maybe encourage new authors to retain their audio rights when signing with pubs that have no plans to produce an audiobook. Too many fine books in backlist purgatory.

Narrator Answer: This is skill, acquired after much training and practice! Some actors may prep or hire someone to prep their manuscript by highlighting dialog for different characters, among other markups. But I only mark it if the dialog tag is missing in a scene with multiple characters.

How many points if we're reading as we record the narration for an audiobook? 🗣🗨 🤩

Users don't understand how these programs were trained on stolen work. The vast majority of artists did not give consent, were not compensated and have no control over how their creative work is being used by generative AI. And on top of that, it's stealing opportunities from us to get work.

This book is one of our state's Battle of the Books titles, so all our 3rd-5th graders have been diving in!

Likewise for any audiobook nominations and their impact for narrators! 🤩

And libraries offer so much to communities. Baby story time saved my sanity as a new mom and introduced us to dear friends. Even this week, we found a film on DVD at our library that we couldn't find via streaming. Libraries are treasures.

Some readers don't realize that authors/publishers do earn royalties via libraries buying hardbacks and licensing ebooks and audiobooks. Some authors earn more that way than via retail!

Our library has passes for this that anyone can borrow!
