Our country did not elect a king. We live in a democracy with checks and balances. It is disconcerting for a sitting president to echo the words of a dictator and for the White House to release fake Time covers with slogans like "Long Live the King."

While Putin fights a declared war of aggression against Ukraine, it appears that he also is waging a devious war against Europe. Please remember that the Western world almost fell that last time the US ignored its responsibility to the world.
