I bought Pure that summer because this dude is wearing a Godflesh shirt on the band photo for “Cause of Death”, and it had a song called “Mothra”. The proverbial weirdo in my art class had gotten me into extreme metal just months earlier. I had no idea what I was getting into and I fucking loved it
