Dad studied this stuff spewing out as it approached earth. He studied with the probe's namesake, Gene Parker.
Check out this cool video from NASA's Parker Solar Probe showing a series of CMEs leaving the Sun around Christmas 2024. This is Parker's closest approach to the Sun ever in its multi-year mission.

It must be a somewhat messed up world if I am posting a Heritage Foundation article. But read it. Washington is probably spinning in his grave like a tossed quarter.
