Goblin band are absolutely phenomenal

Ticket sales for the March gig are slower than a naked man crawling over a mile of knives. If they don’t pick up, it might be cancelled. Folk clubs operate on margins thinner than a midge’s minim, so this would be a terrible, no good, very bad thing.

Damien and Mike are absolutely superb. I bought their album ‘The Old Songs’ and you should buy it, too

Nyge & Sue (TheGooseIsOut) are the reason why the Ivy House is a major folk venue played by folk folk like eliza carthy, her Daddy, John Kirkpatrick, Goblin Band, Lisa Knapp, Nicky Hart, StickInTheWheel, Melrose Quartet, nd many others

On 28 March, Damien Barber and Mike Wilson (pictured) are playing the ivy house in Nunhead, London’s first community owned pub (full disclosure: I am a shareholder). The gig is run by TheGooseIsOut , the lovely people who run the folk club in said pub on the second Sunday of the month.

Saw Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell in Much Ado About Nothing tonight and it was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Absolutely spectacular. Shame they’re so blurry in real life really
