I’m admiring this mossy mushroom covered log in my recent photos and considering going to visit it today.

Show me your best mossy log! 🪵🌱

Shipping out a postcard order, prepping painting panels 🎨, & dreaming of mushrooms on this fine Monday.

Chasing the good light™️ in my studio

These older mushroom illustrations make a cute postcard pack so I put them in my shops as a set! Snail mail is a special thing these days!

Happy Monday.

Amanita Troupe.

Yes, another painting of mossy mushrooms for ya.

This is an old favorite. Inspired by a late summer afternoon on a solo foraging trip in the mountains. So serene and magical ☺️✨

I’d also like to live here, BTW.

When I checked in here this morning I saw that I had 30+ notifications.

I immediately thought, oh shit, what did I say now? Totally expecting to be getting destroyed about something.

I looked & realized it was folks reacting & sharing my posts. Thanks!

PS. Check out the clouds from last night 🙃

Are there mycologists or publishers out there who need a Mycological illustration artist?

This is the only place I’d even ask this question. 😁

Putting it out in the world that I’d love to take on a detailed project & illustrate a fungi book!

Willing to build a portfolio if this is a possibility ⬇️

I wanna live on this mossy nurse log with these tiny mycena mushrooms in the forest. 🥹

Who’s with me?!

I like this tree.

I just sold some art prints in my lonely Etsy shop. Yay! I’ve been feeling overstimulated and gloomy lately so that cheered me up a bit. ☺️☺️

My cold, blackened, weird art girl heart is warmed, y’all 🖤

Finally able to get back to some other small business chores today.

I’ve been cleaning up a little between paintings, assembling Thank You’s/freebies, stamping bags and shipping envelopes!

I enjoy adding little handmade touches where possible. AKA I like doing too much. It’s a proven fact. 🙃

Autumn colors and pretty mushrooms?

Yes please.

Resharing, because daaaaaaaang. 🥰

It wasn’t even that detailed, just smol and cute.

OH WELL

*Quickly paints over it. Quickly*

Sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️ (I’m neurodivergent and I’ve made it into a bit now.)

"From the Depths" is a notable painting by William Balfour Ker, created in 1905, which illustrates the stark contrast between the wealthy elite at a lavish ball and the struggling working class depicted beneath the floor.

Fall colors are in full swing in the Pacific Northwest!

Peak autumn vibes and a classic drizzle of rain.

Y’all it’s making me want souuup! It’s definitely soup season!

@brendanlh.bsky.social makes us the best Sunday breakfast. I didn’t catch photos, so here’s an oldie.

We savor each one of those summertime huckleberries 🥞🫐🍳

Foraging is such a beautiful way to connect with the land. I remember those days clearly, it’s not just foraging, it’s memories being made!

My terrarium of rescued bits & pieces of plants is very happy with the filtered light on a cloudy day.

Some nice lichens & mosses have joined my rescued fern! Looking forward to having this little world of greenery when the winter blues hit.

Trillium ovatum aka pacific trillium or western trillium, one of my favorite wildflowers. It’s an early bloomer, a signal that lets you know that spring is coming.

I hold many memories of visiting them in Columbia River gorge as they open!

Now that autumn is in full swing it’s Twin Peaks season. ☺️

I once did a photo shoot of my friend dressed as the Log Lady. Wish I could find more of the photos! Had a blast photographing her and sourcing props.

My little studio assistants are still learning the ropes e.g. Do NOT step on my paint palette.

No paint paws (happened once, it was no fun. )🐾 Good job, my dudes!

Ps. Despite the icy glare, the judgier looking cat is currently begging me for pets.
