It would be a monumental collapse to blow this. Probably hurt the coaching staff more than the players.

Or New Jersey? Yawn. Reality is that 4 of the best 5 teams are in the west but the Leafs would only have to play one of them. Personally think Tampa Bay will come out of that division.

Agree on the stupidity of the Gregory award but not that Hughes should win it. If Jets win President’s Trophy, it has to go to Chevaldeyoff. No high picks, no chances for high ufas, a team that is on everyone’s no trade list but is still number one in NHL? Its a no-brainer.

The part I don’t get is why everyone (including the Jets) doesn’t understand that 5-6 D are incredibly replaceable. If Heinola (don’t know yet)and Stanley (we know) aren’t above replacement level, replace them with a Fleury or a Miller or a Coghlan or a Chisholm and move on.
