I talk a lot about roguelikes
Procedural Generation in Roguelikes always keeps me playing them. Last Stand: Aftermath, Roboquest and Deadcells are perfect examples of keeping each run feeling fresh! So yeah Keeping things unpredictable is an less talked about feature in Rogulike that should get more attention

For a little inspiration if you wanted, these are some of my all time favorites that I've played:
Nightmare Reaper
Last Stand: Aftermath
Roboquest
Deadcells
Windblown
Risk of Rain (all of them)
Halls of Torment
Jupiter Hell
Tyrant Realm

Hope some of these help!

I've not touched the development process myself so idk if this thought can help much...but what I have touched is an absolute metric ton of Rouglikes and there's 3 things that always keep me playing: Loot that feels exciting, Progression systems that I want to explore, and awesome combat.
