Going to model the behavior I want to see in my elected official when we are wrong about something and admit that I was wrong (his vote on the SAVE Act cough cough). A friend pointed out he is doing something (see linked press release).

I wonder who could introduce such a bill??? Oh that's right! You can! Do your job!
May 14, 2025 at 4:08 PM
So what are you going to do about it?
May 14, 2025 at 12:47 AM
Remind me, did you also vote in favor of the SAVE Act which would make it harder for this exact demographic to vote?

So glad you're available to give a commencement speech but not host a town hall. 🙄

Does that include the proofs of citizenship they'll need to vote? I mean.. you did say anything

How will these affidavits be used in places with known voter suppression? How long will it take to obtain and execute this affidavit? @golden.house.gov a lot of unanswered questions here.

What if they've already registered through their college in which they don't have to prove citizenship (you just have to prove residency and you are who you say you are in ME), will the polling place have a list of students who haven't proved citizenship?
April 28, 2025 at 5:49 PM
🧵Not once in this process is a student required to show they are a citizen. I know this process well because I used it myself to help students register to vote. Therefore when someone tells you, based in facts, they are not fear mongering, they are informing you that you are disenfranchising voters.
April 28, 2025 at 4:56 PM
🧵On a college campus, for example, colleges in ME can submit a list of students who are living in the dorms to that town's registrar, this proves their residency. Students can also provide a piece of mail to demonstrate this. They then can show a student ID as proof of who they are.
April 28, 2025 at 4:56 PM
🧵Again, with this my dude? It's not trying to divide people with fear when someone is telling you that your support of the SAVE Act will effectively disenfranchise voters. ME requires proof of residency to vote and not proof of citizenship. These are 2 different things.
April 28, 2025 at 4:56 PM
But your vote for the SAVE Act directly contradicts a woman's right for her voice to be heard throughout the entire political process. Hypocrite.
April 23, 2025 at 4:30 PM
Ironic that you attended this at a college considering you voted in support of the SAVE Act which will make it harder for college students to vote. Tell me, what did you say to them if you tried to gaslight them to try and convince them you didn't try to make it harder for college students to vote?

For those unaware, lawyers have an ethical duty of candor towards the tribunal. To translate, lawyers have a duty to be honest to the courts and can face disciplinary action if they are found to be lying.
April 16, 2025 at 9:19 PM
Did you explain to them how your support of the SAVE Act will make it harder for them to vote or did you try gaslighting them like you did the rest us?
April 16, 2025 at 6:40 PM
Make sure to vote "no" if you were NOT happy with his decision to support voter suppression.
