In 1930, it was renamed “Paramount Theatre” (previously Seattle Theatre), so the first major performance at the Paramount Theatre was actually “Honey” with Nancy Carroll :-)

The film “They Won't Forget” (1937) was Gloria Dickson's best film. Her charisma and intensity in this film instantly made her a star – although her character dies relatively early on, her presence is felt throughout the film.

In his first real Hitchcock film, “The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog” (1927), he made his first cameo appearance out of pure necessity: there weren't enough extras for a scene, so he appeared himself as an editorial staff member. This later became his trademark.

Adrienne Barrett in Dementia (1955). A film like a surreal nightmare in which reality and hallucination blur. As can be seen in the photo, a woman in the doorway whose shadow looms menacingly into the room is typical of the visual design—strong light-dark contrasts.

With a budget of around $500,000, the film grossed more than $7 million in the US – and did so well that a sequel (Scream Blacula Scream, 1973) was produced immediately.
