When you drive through eastern Montana, the landscape eventually empties out to the point where the road signs start directing you to specific people's homes, rather than to cities or towns. What I didn't realize until this past week is that Google maps effectively does the same thing.

My wife once made this phonetics quilt for me. It wishes me a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in Ukrainian, and she stitched in the waveforms of all the Ukrainian words in adjacent panels.
