Look what I found this morning. Doves and pigeons will put their nests on any level surface like this. It's been calm for two or three days, but it is going to go flying off at the first wind we get today or tomorrow. 🤦

SE New Mexico is expecting 30-40 mph sustained wind/ up to 65 mph gusts until 8 this evening.

Well, this is creepy as hell. I really like the part where the envelope says, "An equal opportunity employer."

Well... The nut crust of the cheesecake topped with lemon curd stuck to the parchment paper, and I didn't have the correct size spring form pan, so the presentation is less than ideal, but it tastes great. We enjoyed a piece with tea, as hoped, this afternoon. Wish I could teleport it to you.

To celebrate the holiday, I made two different clafloutis for brunch. Mixed berry and banana apple pecan. Happy MLK Day everyone!

Last night's dinner was a shrimp and Mahi Mahi seafood Thai red curry with oyster mushrooms from a local grower served over rice noodles. It was just the right spiciness for Amy and I. @captmattj.bsky.social always needs more.

We had a day trip to Truth or Consequences, NM today. Soaked in a hot spring on the bank of the Rio Grande River watching birds and enjoying the peace all around us.

We are out and about watching the Cotton Bowl. We were all in for Oregon, of course, when they were playing Ohio State. Tonight, we are Buckeyes!
