Q) how do u come up with titles? is it a distinct process or do they just come to u organically? A) really good question! It's usually a pretty organic process and fairly easy... if it's not born from the work itself (ANTIPLUG, PROPYLENE) it's typically just a phrase that comes up in talking about the story with friends (High-Maintenance Speed Whore). This works best for shorts with a very simple, straightforward tone or vibe to try to communicate. For longer stories (like The Bough & the Arbour was supposed to be) the approach is very different and takes much longer. I usually start by deciding on what feeling I want the story to communicate - "The x & the y" has a sort of classic, storybook kind of feeling so I knew I wanted it to be something like that - but picking the exact title can be very difficult. In TB&TA's case it was a matter of picking two sort of pretty words with a shared theme (trees!) and sort of vaguely justifying their meaning to myself, even if I wasn't entirely set on whether I'd use those words or that theme in the text. I also let graphic design guide my hand a lot. ANTIPLUG could have been "Antiplug Effect" or a number of other working titles, but I really wanted the logo to be this big, overbearing single word so I went for that in the end.

Q) Swimsuit tierlist ordered by fuckability A) I WROTE A WHOLE ANSWER FOR THIS AND THEN IT GOT DELETED??? im so upset. okay well not a tier list but you can have some general thoughts #1 will forever be one-pieces with modest cuts (brief cut is always always my favourite!). I also adore little extra details like ring details on the straps, or drawstrings etc, especially when they're fairly subtle. Those really elevate a swimsuit for me... cutouts are cute but I don't always like them. they can be insanely hot but it really depends on the overall design. i like multiple smaller cutouts a lot more than single big ones i don't really fuck with athletic swimwear so much, though it can still be appealing. i don't like logos but if the cut isn't too high on an athletic one-piece then I'll probably still like it reasonably well? for bikinis: triangle tops will always be the winners for me. I don't really like strapless tops or thongs... but there's a very wide variety beyond those. as with one-pieces, modest little details will really make me like a bikini a lot more beachwear in general is so important. nothing is cuter than a pair of linen shorts & matching open top over a bikini. never fucking forget this golden week bikini i love you
