As a Canadian that would have had my Mariners scar scratched all winter if the Jays won, I can't agree with that, but I am completely on board with the John Schneider part.

Removing "from the stadium tonight" would make that statement even better.

Fair, but the overall point is that the Blue Jays aren't some sort of scrappy financial underdog. Everyone is chasing the Dodgers, but amongst the other teams, the Jays are pretty high up the chain.

Seattle and Milwaukee were the hope for that narrative.
