Finally got eyes on a Glossy Ibis, and in lovely (cold) sunshine too! After continually missing them wherever in Scotland I am, this was a lovely Saturday morning treat. #BirdingFife #BirdingScotland 🪶

I’m back and forth between Fife and Glasgow for uni, but always appreciate the home nature while I’m here! The resident kestrel put on quite a show for me last week, and these little woodpigeons (I think blown out of the nest by storm Amy) have both fully fledged since this pic #BirdingFife

Almost all the rare birds in Fife that I’ve gone looking for have evaded me the last few days (especially the Ibis 🥲), but still had a couple good days of birding, except when I got soaked by sudden torrential rain 😅 #BirdingFife

Treated to a beautiful wee kestrel very visible in my area today on an otherwise quiet evening #BirdingFife #BirdingScotland

trying more freehanding on a banner for my hawk lords, taking their name very literally, unsurprisingly #spacemarines #warhammer40k

This was a birthday outing and it was, putting it mildly, unreasonably windy 🙃 a pain when trying to hold a camera still, but the birds clearly didnt mind too much, which is the important thing! #BirdingFife

Arctic skua, terns (which, much like gulls, I struggle to identify juveniles aside from some sandwich terns 😅), gannets, razorbills, sand martins, and all sorts of birds at West Sands a few days ago. And the lovely highland sheep posing! #BirdingFife

I spent a day at Fife Zoo for a photography course, and while the aviary was unfortunately closed due to bird flu restrictions, I still managed to get a quick look at some beautiful African birds through the fence. This lilac-breasted roller is a bird I’ve wanted to see for a while 🪶

I guess this is still a bird post lol, got my nails done with a pigeon (/ rock dove 🤓) pattern today 💜💚

pretty chuffed to have seen ravens above the fields near my house today, never seen or heard of any nearby. I heard one calling and knew my day was made! #BirdingScotland 🪶

where I normally see (and hear) one or two buzzards soaring high, today I have seen what I assume is a family of four! #BirdingFife

a pair of swallows and some goldfinches feeding juveniles in the garden today. the juvenile crow I was worried about a few weeks ago seems to be doing well :) #BirdingScotland 🪶

Not a great showing at Kinnoull Hill today, but the sound of a redstart and nuthatches were nice to hear. No eyes on ravens or green woodpeckers but a red squirrel and juv GS woodpecker being fed were lovely nonetheless #BirdingScotland

the juvenile crow that was looking a bit vulnerable a week or so ago has reappeared, I heard and saw a glimpse of a juv GS woodpecker in the garden, finally got eyes on the goldfinch singing outside my window for the last few mornings, and saw a wagtail with an impressive haul of bugs #birdingFife

haven’t seen much of the local LTTs since winter, but spotted these wee ones getting fed by a parent in my trees today #BirdingFife

a lovely bright evening at the harbour in St Andrews. Lovely to see some eider chicks and fulmar flying around the cliffs #birdingfife #birdingscotland

Lots of activity in the garden today. Fledgling robins flying about, the woodpecker showing itself again, and keeping a close eye on this quiet young crow, who’s nearby parents don’t seem to have come to the ground to feed it for some time. #birdingfife #birdingscotland

Nice to see a woodpecker in the garden for the first time in a while #BirdingFife

Distant crow-on-buzzard aggression, not an uncommon sight lol

not a lot of activity on the water in the afternoon heat, yet still managed 23 species when adding those heard and not seen.
