Nothing sophisticated in terms of tech arguments TBH. When Kafka with Kafka Connect & Postgres (or other supported SQL) are in place Debezium seems natural choice. If something is missing in this tech stack, custom solution seems to be the most reliable, yet have not investigated other solutions
