I was hosting a smartphone-powered scavenger hunt in the SFBA. One of the teams snuck a photo of me for the ‘spot a celebrity’ challenge and captioned it ‘Vincent D'Onofrio‘. That pic got posted on Twitter. Mr. D'Onofrio took the time to reply to it, saying that I was better looking than he was. ☺️

Yeah, the first Xanth book was the first book that I read on my own volition as a pre-internet-age precocious youth. I was not prepared for his works like Shade Of The Tree when I followed his bibliography down into the trenches.

One workplace over-staffed my PT position to the point that dozens of us are all sub-part-time employees now, don’t qualify for benefits, and can’t join the national union efforts. Some jobs offer bonus pay to pick up last-minutes shifts. This other one makes us race each other to reply to postings.
