The story of Rio and Tracee

Featuring May's calendar contest winner - Sugar. Sugar was rescued in Feb2013, just 6 months after SWESR was founded. She was returned to the rescue when her adopter was no longer able to care for her, which is the way rescue should work; we are here for the life of our dogs.

When Randy and Kathy’s 15-year-old, Irish Setter crossed the Rainbow Bridge, they could tell their red Setter rescue, Sorcha, was grieving her companion. The entire family wanted a second dog, and they decided to “downsize” to an English Setter. Read the rest of Monty’s story at swesr.org/monty/

March’s calendar winner - “Can’t believe it has already been 8 years since we adopted Lexie! Lexie’s favorite things include squirrel chasing at the park, frog hunting by the pool, and eating figs straight off the tree. We are so thankful that SWESR matched us with this crazy fun-loving girl!”
