#OTD 90 years ago, Jewish journalist and Social Democrat Max Sachs was murdered in Sachsenburg concentration camp. His grandson visited me in Kingston this Friday, we talked a lot about his family, especially his refugee parents and my 2024 book about Max

Coming soon - and for the first time as Czech translation: in 1936, German socialist, journalist, writer and refugee Robert Grötzsch published "Our Quest for a Homeland. Novel of an Emigration" in Czechoslovakia. I introduced this early transit reflection of political exiles fleeing Nazi persecution
