First time in a long time, no new announcement from 🍣 ,it seems. I almost got used to getting a japanese movie or box set announced every month. 😅

Since One Cut of the Dead (カメラを止めるな！) is one of my favorite movies, I just had to get this edition from @thirdwindowfilms.com too. It comes with a little bonus movie. Which is great, because I love seeing this crew together :)

BTW @filmsradiance.bsky.social I really would love, love to see a "Japan" Members subscription next year. With so many Japanese movies being released by you. The beginning of this year alone, would've made it worth while for me to subscribe to that. I dunno, just wishful thinking on my end :)

Since seeing Godzilla Minus One, in TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku last year, I've been totally back into Kaiju movies. I bought all the Gamera and Daimajin movies. The 4K releases of the OG Godzilla movie and G -1.0. But today, finally, this big boy arrived! I've been eyeing this one for too long @criterion

I am watching this series on Netflix called The Hot Spot (ホットスポット). It's freaking hilarious. Deadpan comedy, slice of life with a twist. "Honne" and "tatemae" are a big part of the humor. All this situated near Mt. Fuji, which really wants me to go back there.
