Land of the Lounge Lizards?

I'll say from Cessna piloting experience that the main problem is altitude. Cell tower antennas are optimized for lateral propagation, not vertical. I can usually get cell signal below 3000ft, but rarely above, even when I fly directly over the towers. Plus you're in a tight faraday cage.

I love the book, but I quickly read your post as "The Devil in the White House", and thought that perfectly reasonable.
