This is one of my favorites, if not my MOST enjoyed design. The inverted cupcake volcano, the roughed-up terrain, the bones, the vines... I could spend all day meticulously crafting a dino cake for one order, given the chance. This one had to be done a little quicker, but, here it is!

A sheet cake, with a rough finish on its top, largely airbrushed a medium brown color to give the appearance of a barren landscape, with green patches of vines along the left and right borders. There are a handful of scattered bones piped in white icing near the green areas as well. Near the top-center of the cake, the dirt color darkens and an upside-down cupcake has been covered in icing to mimic a volcano's appearance, complete with bright orange lava trails on several sides. Near the bottom-right, "Happy 6th Birthday Mauricio" is printed in orange icing. A plastic package with two dinosaur figurines sits off to the left, slightly obscured by the cake, still on its turntable.

It's always good when customers understand our limits when it comes to copyrighted material and... adjust... their orders appropriately.

I hope someone likes their orange ball cake and the red stars that will most certainly be going on Mom's homemade cupcakes.

We got REALLY busy and... kinda forgot the last picture.

The customer had a support rod and planned to place a dragon at the very top of the flames. Personally, I would have wanted to take a different approach with the fire, but they enjoyed the star-tip appearance.
The two-tier cake from previous posts, now with bright yellow, orange, and red flames pouring down the upper-levels (a cupcake was added for a very small third tier) and through some of the fondant stonework at the top of the large 8" layers.

Still standing! And looking a bit more like a castle keep!

Still... that top needs something.
The previously-posted two-tier cake, now with its bottom tier coated in gray icing and given a stone brick pattern. A tall brown fondant wooden door is attached on the right while one of two stone windows is on the left. Gray fondant bricks have been added around the top of the stone layer as well. The base is partially covered in olive-green coconut flakes and several beige fondant cones (to be topped later with raspberries and made to look like mushrooms) are present.

It's been a little while again, hasn't it? Here are a few fun #cake orders that came along since last we saw some sweets on here.

...definitely not still up to my eyeballs in Minecrafting in my spare time.

The borders are orange and yellow. The cassette has "Happy 21st Birthday Alyssa" written on it. A double layer round cake covered in whipped cream icing and sprinkled with pulverized Oreo crumbs. "Happy 30th Birthday Kristen!" is written in chocolate icing.

A two-layer 5" cake split to resemble a cheeseburger, complete with ketchup, mustard, pickles, and lettuce. A handful of fondant fries and frosting ketchup are also nearby.

Playing catch-up a bit. It's been a while, hasn't it?

People have a habit of asking for "any colors" or for us to "use your imagination" when ordering... and it puts us in a bit of a spot, so I made these to show a small fraction of the several hundred options for choosing 3 colors out of 16.

Been a couple days since anything fun -- but it's been SOOOOO busy that I haven't had much time to show off all the neat things going on!

Anyway! Special soccer cake for a lucky 9-year-old! ...that's "football" for most of our friends in other places, but, for Liam, it's soccer!
