It’s not my father’s birthday, but the sentiment is the same. He was a WWll Army Airforce instructor from Wisconsin. He trained an ornery Shetland pony for me when I was 6. He taught me to be brave and to show that pony who was boss (me). He shoed horses and wrote poetry and books about flying.
