I'm not sure he is correct, he is likely not connected to any of the student groups in either camp. He is a music student and pretty well immersed in what he is studying. But I also hadn't seen much on the news. I am a UIC alum and with their diverse student population, I expected more.

I spent most of my working life in a downtown Chicago office. More than a handful of times do I recall Palestinians marching for peace and a 2 state solution. It's a very complex situation. I support freedom and peace and don't fault the Palestinians, no civilians should be harmed.

True, the type of school he goes to might be part of it. It's the largest Catholic, unaffiliated University in the US. So they keep a pretty even keel, having students of all backgrounds.
