Another July Sweet Cheetah release came from Upset Boy and The Queens. The Nashville-based "party band for the dystopia" collects its first four singles for the Silver Dreamer EP. The band is a quartet now and I can't wait to see what's next.

In late July, Sweet Cheetah Records released the Suicides LP by Japan's FVRMN. As with most things, this started with a friend bringing me an incredible record to hear. And Matt from Steadfast Records heard the same when I sent it to him.

In July, this incredible bunch from Hudson Valley, New York, and Sweet Cheetah Records released its sophomore album. The fact that this band is still unsung is frankly criminal. It's like Death Cab for Cutie being performed by Swervedriver.

Boston's MK Naomi came to me looking for a little PR help and got more than they bargained for. As soon as I heard this EP, I knew I wanted Sweet Cheetah Records to be involved in releasing it, which we did in June.

Stoked to announce the first Sweet Cheetah Records effort of 2026. This will be released in partnership with Bunker Park, Poptek, and Blind Rage. If you dig Unwound and Faraquet, you're gonna want to give this a listen. placeposition.bandcamp.com/album/went-s...

In May, Sweet Cheetah Records was finally able to share this compilation. What started as a long-neglected idea about pairing a few pre-existing Pixies covers became a full-blown effort that raised a few hundred dollars for charity.

In February, Sweet Cheetah Records' MK Naomi released it's cover of "3 Small Words," which was originally from the soundtrack for the movie Josie and The Pussycats. Sales of the song benefited Moon Base One. More on MK Naomi later.

On April 1, I released this ripper, which is absolutely no joke, with defunct Los Angeles art-punks The Kinison. In addition to this track finally being back for public consumption, Nick Hamby absolutely killed it on the artwork.
