I had the experience of a lifetime at O'Hare Airport in Chicago when I beheld the presence of James Baldwin heading for a flight. He was draped in a black cape with a fedora atop his head, carrying a cane.I was amazed at how extrodinarily diminutive he was, flowing through the space as if on wings.
