In fact, seems like just posting the above post got me added to another one.

IIRC, 1-4 were all "Doctor Who", 5-8 were "the Doctor", 9 was "Doctor Who", and 10+ were "the Doctor".

And 5 + 10 were both "Doctor Who" for their regeneration. (For 8, I'm going by "Night of the Doctor".)

There may be some variance due to multi-Doctor episodes and such....

Honestly, the blocklists you get on bluesky for being even mildly positive towards AI are rather ridiculous...

Yeah, she does travel with Ace for a while, just by Human Nature, she was doing some traveling without Ace. Checking, that audio is between VNA 27 & 28, while Human Nature is 38.

I actually started reading the VNA's because I wanted to start reading things with Bernice, & it's been interesting.

Her cat is actually originally from Human Nature!

No Problem. Finished Original Sin and it was great!

Bernice originated in the VNA "Love and War", but she also gets reintroduced without the Doctor in "Oh No It Isn't!" which is fun & has a Big Finish version w/ Nicholas Courtney voicing her cat. (They did some Doctor-less books because of rights.)

I approve!

For things I've been reading recently, Paul Cornell's "Human Nature" was the book the tv episode was based on, with 7 & Bernice Summerfield. Enjoyed it & like it better then the episodes.

I'm now reading the next book, Andy Lane's "Original Sin", which has been very good & has 2 new companions.

It went off earlier then it was supposed to, and it was something you only had one take on, too. So when he's walking away in the episode, the back of his coat is actually *on fire* from where the explosion hit him, and he just didn't react until he was off camera so as not to ruin the take...

I'll have to look into that one, since the one I use is a general one where you have to specifically set up each site and put in what to look for and change it to.

Just will need to make sure I can turn them on and off, as sometimes all the wikis on a subject suck in different ways...

Personally, I set a browser extension to redirect any of the old fandom links I happen to click on to tardis.wiki so that even if I google something, the link it shows will go to the right place. (Redirector is the one I use.)
Tardis Wiki - the Independent Doctor Who Wiki
Tardis Wiki is the independent Doctor Who wiki, covering the BBC franchise alongside spin-offs like Torchwood, The Sarah Jane Adventures, and so many others!

James Bond as a timelord who periodically regenerates *would* be the obvious solution. James Bond was basically Jon Pertwee anyways...

Familiar and approachable are the big things. Suggesting, say, Harry Harrison's "The Stainless Steel Rat" for sci-fi, or Lawrence Watt-Evan's "The Misenchanted Sword" for fantasy has the advantage that I'm familiar with those books...

Voyager feels like a show that had some interesting ideas, but was required to hit the reset switch (like on the Doctor having been reset) at the end of every episode and not to pursue some of them.

The Year from Hell originally being intended as a full season, not a two-parter comes to mind...
